First Haying complete with pics

I am finally getting around to posting pics. I baled up our place a couple weeks ago. Here are some pics of the Krone cutter in the KMC mower caddy.

I broke the right hand window out of my tractor with some rocks. I raised the front of the mower just a tad and didn't have any more problems. Trial and error on equipment setup. My dealer had me a window the next day.

You're lucky that rock didn't get you. I wonder if having the mower mounted on the dolly and further behind you allowed the rock to get high enough to hit the window. So far, I've never had a rock hit the tractor while running the mower. Nice hay. Imagine doing all that baling with an open station tractor.

Dunno, but the JD mechanic mentioned raising the front of the mower up some to help with that and I forgot to do it. As my bermuda stand fills in, I figure the rock situation will get better.

I have broken out two of the rear lower windows with my batwing. So, I guess it is just luck of the draw. JD offers polycarbonate windows. I have one of them in the lower window and a steel mesh over it.

Without a cab, this work would not be that much fun. I cut 100 acres 8AM to midnight. 2 days to dry and got after it.

Nice pics! Too bad about the window.

We have yet to cut, last week in June is our normal first cutting, but it looks like the thunderstorms are going to continue for another week.
