My BIL got up 10 acres of hay this week. I got up 144 bales of rye on a couple of acres on Thursday. It was cut on Monday. It has rained about 3" since yesterday so we won't be making hay for a few days now.

It looked a little light - for 1st cutting - a milkweed here and there... bet them cows will eat every stem, though!

Need to shift that Jet Stream down your ways a bit... Cold and wet up here. Skiff of snow last night and still on the ground @ 10am. Can't even fertilize the fields.

My neighbor's oat hay looked good this year with only 15 inches of rain since planting last Oct.

Nice, tight bales! That Vermeer is doing the job!

Are you working in the field across the fence, too?
