Vermeer Rebel Roller

I Have an 11 yr old Vermeer Rebel Roller that I can't get the bale to progress past making the core. It picks up hay fine and makes a nice soft core but won't progress from there. Isn't making it on into the bale chamber. Just plugs up the pickup. Baled fine last year. Stored in the barn for the winter. Anybody got any ideas?

Is the bale tension arm(s) stuck?

The feed roll may be wore down too smooth. I have seen re-bar wielded across a few older Vermeer feed rolls.

If the belts are wore slick, we have taken some of them off and inserted them to run in the opposite direction to gain some temporary traction.

Feed roll is still good. I think it's got to do with the belts. They are loose for my liking and slick from 11 years of the elements. Got the belt tension maxed out and it rolled 30 rolls, but it's still not right.
Think I'll invest in a set of belts.
