I'm trying to help a neighbor. Is there a method to tighten reel drive chain without utilizing an offset link to remove a link from chain??
Thanks,Jim

I thought that all of the reels were belt driven?

Yes there's a belt that powers reel BUT there's a chain that powers the belt. here's the chain(key 2) I'm referring to.

Yes,
You need to be under the haybine behind the rollers. Up high there are two small bolts (1/2"?) that you loosen then there is a sliding adjuster that you tighten. I'm not home or I'd take a picture.
Standing behind the haybine the adjuster is on the right side.
The picture you have above looks like the most upper piece to the right is where the two holding bolts are. That plate is on the chute of the haybine.
