Hello to the group,
I'm installing a root grapple to the front of a compact tractor loader, and I'm being told that the hyd. connections go on the back, and it seems stupid to me. I don't have intentions of adding a back-hoe or any other hyd. tool to the back so why put the connects back there?
Thanks, Jake

First, Welcome to TBN:D

Second, What tractor are we talking about here?

The auxiliary "remotes" offered by most manufactures are ported to the rear for use in blades and other rear mounted implements. There are a lot of people who just use long hoses extended from the rear to the FEL to operate grapples, and some install "electric diverters" that "diverts" fluid from the dump/curl circuit to the grapple when a button is press on the joystick handle. These diverters will cost about $500-$600 depending on the application.

If you do a search here for these terms you will learn a lot about these setups, it's one of the most talked about items here.

Please feel free to ask more questions;)

Thanks Kenny, I'll search those topics. I have a Kioti CK25HST, a '53 Farmall Cub, and a JD 410. The grapple is going on the new Kioti.
