I errored on my observations about the bucket not moving with full power. I pulled the cylinder and took it to a shop. Both gaskets were rolled over, new ones are on the way, good news was that I did not bend anything....

Do yourself a favor, take the other side off and get it done too. They are sister cylinders, when one moves, the other does. They have the same amount of wear. You will now have one fresh one, and one old one. The fresh one will be doing more work and there is more of a chance for bad things to happen. Don't be cheap now, do them both.

p.s., for your info, cylinders go bad at a rate of at least 100 times to a valve going bad once. People try to get too technical in their diagnosis when you really need to not make things so complicated. Just keep it simple and you'll be okay.
Another thing I learned, having a degree doesn't fix anything, it only makes problems worse. Having a degree only lets you point fingers when things go wrong. Real world experience fixes things.
