Earlier I posted about a problem I was having with my FEL being slow and jittering. Well the final outcome is this. Had I paid more attention to detail and slowed down abit this repair might have cost me abit less. As a refresher I had taken my SCUT into a hydraulic shop for diagnosis and repair of a leaking control valve. Based on "their" recommendations I replaced the pump with the one they recommended. System worked but was v*e*r*y slow. Doing more research to confirm what I'd already suspected the pump they recommended was to small. Based on their statements "We adjusted everything to make a safe tractor" I opened the bypass valve to see if they had reduced the pressure to much. This was my mistake and I broke the bypass valve seat. Turns out they gave me a BS line I believe to cover up the fact they had me get the wrong pump. Anyway I ordered the correct pump and control valve. Bought new hoses (new pump needed larger hoses) and after installing all (new oil) FEL STILL was very slow. After more troubleshooting and with more assistance from everyone here (Thanks
) I finally tore the entire hydraulic system down and flushed everything. Now here's where I should have slowed down. Had I taken just a few more minutes and really looked I would have found my problem. When I flushed the tank out I found...... a piece of paper. Probably from the tanks manufacturer. BTW; I had replaced the tank initially because the old one (part of the frame) leaked badly.I just need to remember "the more hurry I get, the farther behind I become" Long story short now the FEL works great. Just in time to sell the tractor .

Glad you got 'er fixed.
It would have been nice to avoid all the trouble and grief, but many of us have similar stories to tell at some point. Hindsight makes everything look easy.

Original pump was worn out. Wouldn't barely lift it's own weight (bucket). 1st replacement pump too small (get a cup of coffee before the FEL would raise completely
) and second pump was correct size.
