Default Help on a disk cylinder please!

I just bought a ten foot disk I cant tell what brand (I think Mccormick). Anyway It Has I hyd clyinder and to hand cranks One for tong and one to adjust rear or tilt I think. Anyway The cylinder has one hose and I am not sure how it works. I plugg it into the tractor and it retracted the cylinder butthe tractor hydraulics seem to have stuck cause I cant move the lever. So I whent to the other outlet and nothing happened. after messing with the hydraulic control lever a little bit I got it to move again.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions where I can get a double action cyl for a 10 ft disk. The one on its dimesions are 2 eyelets both 1" and closed position aprox 22inches. other than that I dont know about stroke. So hopefully some one could point me in the right direction. Thanks

Bryan,

You can find a replacement cylinder lot's of places...online and locally (like TSC). But you will need to know the stroke. You will have to remove the cylinder and hoses and manually pull it open (will be messy!) to get the pin-to-pin measurements both open and closed.

What you have now is a Single Acting cylinder that relies on weight to retract it.

I am not quite sure what you mean about your remote lever...is it working know? will the tractor engine bog down when it is operated in both directions?
