Rob,

I really like how yours came out -being able to know whats going on with your loader at all times nice way to go.

am going for the quick dissconnect-my problem is I dont know what size is the QD male. The manual shows QD male 3/8 for the TC34DA/14la FEL with that I called surplus center to order and they didn't know which one, they just want item numbers.
hopefully one of the pros on here know.

I'll keep it simple let's use GIJOES QD set up.

Thanks

Wow what a difference (Nice people) I called Hydraulic Quick Disconnects.
Thanks Rob.

gave them my info they will put it together to see what fits and send it out to me too cool --I'll keep you updated when I figure out the part numbers in case someone else needs them.

update,

The pressure gauge arrived with the wrong set. (1/4 QD coupler)
I ended up buying the connectors from NH.

part number# for bushing 87628 cost $1.83
part number# for coupler 9846344 cost $13.14
pressure gauge from #afc-3m-25 cost $17.50 Hydraulic Quick Disconnects

I tested my loader and here's the number am showing on the gauge 1800 psi.
Is this normal for the 14LA loader?

1800 sounds low to me, but I have know idea what NH specs the machines at.

As for the wrong QD fitting...re-read my reply in post #2 of this thread-BTDT:D

Johnny,

Sorry to hear you got the wrong qd. This is why I always say to shop locally for this stuff. The cheap pay twice.

As far as a test kit, I can give you a short list for a neat little pressure test kit that should test most of your hyd circuits. BTW, I sell the same gauge locally for less than what you paid, and no shipping.

The following are Weatherhead part #'s.

C5706x4, C5706x6, C5706x8, C5706x12. These are JIC street run T's in sizes 4 thru 12. With these, you tap into the line you want to check the pressure of and run the T to your gauge.
C5015x6x4, C5015x8x4, C5015x12x4. These are JIC reducers and need the nut that follows to work. They reduce from the T to the gauge.
C5105x6, x8, and x12. These are the nuts for the reducers.
I also like about a 2' piece of 1/4" 2-wire hose to go from the T to the gauge. Makes life easier.

The pic below shows some of the fittings. There are also 1 piece JIC reducers which is in the pic. It doesn't matter which one you get. Everything I list should be able to be bought locally for a hundred bucks or less, ballpark price. I would have to look up everything individually to give an exact price.
Good luck, Andy.

Johnny,

Did you test the pressure at an idle or at the 540 PTO RPM. It does make a difference. Mine runs about 1800 psi at idle and 2200 psi at the higher RPM. I also have a completely different machine.

Hmm.. I'd want pressure to be more uniform.. even though flow will be lower at lower rpm.. etc. GIJOE Your system doesn't use a vane pump does it?

Johnny, I'm sorry you had such a hassle with your gage setup. I'm glad you got it all worked out.:)

Do you have an Owner's Manual for your tractor? If you look in the back in the Specifications section, it should have a section for the hydraulic lift or hydraulic system. Mine shows the system relief setting pressure in bars and psi. I think yours should too. It's worth a look-see. If you don't know what it should be, measuring the pressure doesn't really tell you what you need to know.

you were right I still had to look up the part number for the coupler I didn't have a old one to bring in but thanks to messnicks website I was able to find the part number.

Jinman,

are you kidding me who needs a manual when I have guys like you.
(not kidding)

ok I'll look
for the 34da system relief valve setting 2133 psi 147 bar
in the manual for the loader shows the same 2133 psi

So it cost $32.47 to build one
I lost $10 not a big lost with the wrong parts I'll find a use for that somewhere else.

I still highly reccomend the good people at Hydraulic Quick Disconnects
Check this out how to know which one is yours page 26

Gijoe,

I raised the rpm today at 2200 rpm the pressure gauge showed 2000 psi.
I don't know if you can read it in the picture.

133 psi would this make a difference?
