Ford 3400 3 point hitch problem
Hello,
Sorry to post this in two spots but this section seems to get more action.
I have a Ford 3400 and the 3 point hitch is acting up. The hitch will only go all the way up or all the way down, you can't get it to do anything in between even if you only move the lever just a little bit. What would cause this problem? I have tried the draft control lever in both positions and it does not seem to help.
Thanks

Re: Ford 3400 3 point hitch problem
There is linkage either internal or external that cancels the lift control valve. If the linkage is maladjusted or disconnected it can do just as you describe.

Re: Ford 3400 3 point hitch problem
I can't find this linkage in my ford repair manual. Does anyone either know what page it explains this linkage or how you adjust it?
