Does anyone know if the qds on an IH 480 disk will fit in a Ford 5000 tractor.
Thanks in advance

Impossible to answer definitively. The hydraulic tips on the disc were matched to whatever tractor pulled it in its previous life.

Rick is right. What you need to do is check to see what tips it has and if they are the correct tips then you are set. If not you buy the right tips and change them.

Exactly,

Tips are cheap, usually around $5 a piece. We keep them in stock just in case we buy something and need to swap them off.

What I would do, is to take off the QD's on the tractor, and clean them up really good, and take them to a hydraulics place and see if they can match. The other way is to get some matching sets of whatever, or match up to what you already have on other implements. There are many look-a-likes. They can be anywhere of $20 for a set, or up to $60 for a set. You could also go to flat faced connectors if you wanted to connect under pressure.

You need a pair of ISO (also called Pioneer style) male tips with 1/2" npt threads. Common as dirt, the most common and popular male tip used in the AG world. The tips on the disc fit 66 and 86 series IH tractors and nothing else I know of.
