Question Re: adding a 3rd function valve to a 755 john deere HELP!

I only could find one plate on the tractor , it is under the PTO shaft , it has a bar code and the PIN# i mentioned before, the owners manual has a 6 digit serial # that covers 100001- ?? Im guessing mine is # 180465 which is part of the PIN #

OK, Just did more research in JDParts (you are registered right?) It is not the S/N number I need like I thought-but rather the "transaxle S/N", here is what is says:
Quote:
TRANSAXLE SERIAL NUMBER IS STAMPED ON TOP OF THE CASE, BELOW LEFT SIDE ROCKSHAFT ARM
It should begin with 82......

The reason is they list two different kits, the older one is the picture I posted above and I think you need that big part #4 and possibly the line #16

The new kit (pictured below) just needs the diverter plug #15 and the fittings and hose that you can source locally from any hydraulic shop or online.

Do you happen to know what the rated GPM is for your machine?

Here are some valve choices:

9-7695
9-7692
9-7694

I only know what I quoted above from JDparts (you are registered right?)

If you have the later # above 820001-and it looks like you do, then all I would order from JD is the diverter plug P/N PT13744.

You also might want to find a FSM (factory service manual) on eBay also...

Basically, when you install this plug, it diverts the fluid OUT of one of the ports, through the new valve then back IN the other port whenever the tractor is running.

I would pick a valve, then devise a mounting for it while you are researching everything else...
