Default MF 165 hydraulics blew up?

Was about to go home tonight after shredding. Have controls in front of the seat and on the right side. using the ones in front of the seat. Was raising the shredder when it sounded like a bolt head snapped off. From somewhere under the piece that bolts onto in front of the seat to hold the 2 levers, fluid came gushing out.

Had to drive the tractor about 50 more feet or so to get off the road etc.... and by then could hear air cavitation in the hydro...

What could have happened etc... how to fix and so on.

It was dark when it blew so all I can tell for sure is hoses are fine, and they are new anyway but somewhere out from under there the fluid just came blowing out.

Thanks, Jeff

A fitting or hose could have burst, the valve could have cracked open. It all can be fixed or replaced.

thanks, I suspect I'll have to find some kind of repair manual on it somehow and move forward from there.

Sounds like an o-ring has blown out. Remove the bolts that hold the control unit down and lift up the unit. There are two or three o-rings between the housings check each one. I don't remember if there are 2 or 3 o-rings, it has been to long.
