I see BXpanded sells a hydraulic system test/adjust kit for the BX series tractors. How often should this test be ran. What would cause the hyd.system settings to change. My tractor works just fine with 450 hrs on the clock.Should I have it checked?Any advice will be appreciated...As always thanks for your expertese.... Certainly test it when new, but after that, only when you are trying
to debug a problem. Or maybe once every 10 yrs, if you are looking
for things to do. If everything works OK, don't worry about it. When
a tractor get old, I suspect the RV springs may get a little less springy
(tired), so the pressure drops.

I have seen as-delivered pressures to be WAY off on tractors, hoes,
and valves.

It is just a piece of test equipment to monitor or test your hyd system. Use it whenever you think things are not right, or to keep up with the wear and tear on the hyd system. It is one of those things that all tractor owners should own or make. It even comes with shims for those valves that use shims.

dfkrug had a great thread about pressure on a new tractor. That's a great place to use a kit like the one you saw. Other than that, just like stated, probably only used if you are trying to find the cause of a problem.
