Planning for a Hydraulic top link- 18.5" to 30" at longest. 5/8" bore for 40 HP CUT?

My cat1 toplink is 18.5" at it's smallest and 30" at it's longest.
I'd like to replace it with a hydraulic toplink.
Will this one work? It's 18" at smallest with a stroke of 12", so 30" at it's longest, same as my toplink. Is 5/8" rod large enough to handle a 40HP CUT, 6ft BB and bushhog?

The pin hole is too small, plus you will probably need something with a rod diameter greater than one inch and most everyone recommends a lock valve.

Wow, that website is a pain for those of us who are Hyrdaulic newbies.
I don't think I want the lock valve. I don't mind making slight adjustments
occasionally, especially for $75 extra dollars. Can you point me to the
2X11X1.18 CAT I HYD DA TOP LINK CYL without the lock valve?
I'm having a hard time finding it. thanks for the help!

Before I bought my cylinder with the lock valve, I priced others without. Mostly the cylinders were close to the same price or higher (see eBay search "top link cylinder"). I also believe the lock valve adds a layer of safety to the setup.

Surplus Center does have this:

But the pin holes are are too big (you can buy bushings) and perhaps the whole swivel eyes are too large.

The Surplus Center searches I use are "top link" or "toplink" or "swivel eye". You get different things with each search, but I think it covers it all.

You can also buy a regular welded cylinder and cut the ends off and weld on swivel eyes, but the cost will add up on you quick.

I got the Dalton one and love it. It does not have a lock valve and for what I use it for it it is not necessary. Depending on your needs, it may be a necessity. The thread addresses some of the issues.

I have a Dalton top link to. It is a cat 2 for my 5103 JD and doesnt have a lock valve either. Works good for what I use it for. It is more expensive than the surplus center brand. Mine is a Prince cylinder with a 3" bore x 10" stroke..... Bull
