I got a manual crank turn snowblower attachment that I would like to convert to hydraulic. Will any hydraulic motor off ebay or surpluscenter do the job or is there something I need to look for? Do they all spin either way or do some only spin in one direction? Will I need some kind of flow restrictor in the line to slow it down and make it work for this application? Do I have to flush out the motor of any oil and potential contaminants before hooking it up to my hydraulics if it is used? How do I go about doing that?

I don't know much about hydraulics so any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

If this helps or not I put one on my fathers I got one off a old hyw sander put it on the blower I took a drive chain put it around the shout with a sprocket on the hyd motor put in a bolt in the center on the opposite side of the motor so this way i got the full swing both ways then I just plugged in to the hyd and away it went worked good just took the crank out of the shoot so when it moves the crank will not spin and hit anything
