Tractor
IH DX45
Hi, I need to help a friend plant some prairie grass. He has the planter and I have the tractor (IH DX45). The problem is I dont have auxiliary hydro. What I want to do is purchase 2 pieces of hydro hose with quick disconnects and plug them into the disconnects for my loader. I doubt I will ever have to do this again and dont want to spend a few hundred dollars for something I may never use again. My question is, will this work for the short time I will need it and if not, why? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Tony

Just use the loader curl circuit hyd.

Install QD's in the bucket curl work ports and use the joystick to control the hyd at the rear.

Be careful if your FEL valve has regen.

I just wanted to give an update to my project. I simply made a bracket to clamp on to my ROPS in the rear of my tractor to mount the 2 QDs. Ran the 2 hoses along the underside of the FEL frame work up to the QDs for the FEL. Since I won't be needing the loader while I'm using the planter, I plan on dropping the loader and simply plugging into the proper lines. I'm attaching a few pics.
Also, if I find later that I am using the rear lines alot more all I will need to do is upgrade the controls.
