A lot of hyd machines use motor oil as the hyd fluid.

ATF is also a good hyd fluid.

If service said use it, it should be OK. It is easy to come by, and just about every store carries motor oil.

It might also depend on the climate where you will use the machine.

Our Power-Tracs all use motor oil as the hyd fluid.
