Massey Ferguson 50c
I own a Massey Ferguson 50c tractor. My directional control valve for the rear remotes is leaking, also I find that one of the spools binds when pushed in. The valve is made by Gresen, though the model number is illegible. My hydraulics is rated at 29GPM. What would be a goood relpacement valve for my tractor. My primary use for the valves right now is chute control (a motor and a piston) on my snowblower, although there will be other implements I may attach in the future. Thank you.

If you look at stacked valves, you can tailor the spools to suit your needs..

Thanks JJ. Could you please elaborate on the advantages of stacked valves?

By using stacked valves, you can select what each spool is going to do. You can add a motor spool, 3way detent, SA cyl. Each spool can be selected for a particular function. They can get expensive, but you get what you want.

If you need a four spool valve, you select the end units which hold the valve together and select from the list exactly what you want in a valve. and then you need the bolts to connect all the spools and end sections.

You can change things later if you need something different.

I'm reviving this old thread, as I have finally decided to take the plunge.
I have decided on a Parker V20 sectional valve with Power Beyond.
I am purchasing 2 sections, (for now), one with a float position.
Before I proceed with my purchase ..........
Any comments on my choice?

Yes JJ, the motor is for the chute rotator, and the cylinder is for the chute deflector.
I'm thinking of changing my hydraulic fluid and filter, while I'm at it, along with any hoses and fittings that may need replacing.
Although I generally use Parker products, is there any place beside the MF dealer that I can purchase hose and fittings for my 35 year old machine. Thank you for your input.

Thanks JJ.
Got down to work last weekend. Drained my hydraulic fluid, removed the filter, and suction filter, and pulled out the old directional valve.

As you can see I have to change quite a few hoses and fittings to change.
Already I see a problem, I notice there is a JIC SAE14 fitting going from the loader valve to the remote directional valve.

I'm looking at Parker fittings but I don't see many with a SAE14 end.
What I'm looking for is a SAE14 jic female swivel, connected to a 1 inch (-16) hose.
Do you see any other options?? :confused3:
