So there it is, a perfectly good, brand new, unused mid pto on my BX25
that I am seeking to put to work, somehow. :D Don't know what for yet,
maybe an Auger, maybe a blender, time will tell.

The BX25's mid-pto specs are up to 2500 RPM and the shaft, well, I don't
know the exact call out for it but it is something like a 1" 10 spline? If
anyone knows please chime in. PTO HP @ 3200RPM = 17.7 . I never tach out
my tractor, usually around 2500 or so.

Does anyone know of this being done on a BX25? Basically if anyone has
done anything other than use it for a MMM I would like to see what you
konjered up.

I found a company building a 2000-2500 mid mount pump and I have a
post into them looking to see if that have a BX25 solution, I will post up
when I find out.

I'll never have a MMM and I want to find a use for the Mid PTO. The BX25
does not have huge GPM ratings and a nice compact pump under there
might be extra nice for a myraid of items. I find it hard to believe no
manufacturer is not already making it.

If there is little demand for a pump like that, they probably will not make one.

You could be the first to come up with a working solution. You will have to find the right adapter between the 1 in shaft and the hyd pump, maybe a lovejoy connection setup, and a way to brace the pump.

If that mid PTO motor can run at 2500 rpm, then you can match up a hyd pump that can develop the pressure and use the available HP to produce a certain GPM.

Kind of like this one? :)

Here is a few quick thoughts. A high pressure piston pump run off of the tractor res. Low flow but high pressure so as not to heat up the fluid in the tractor. Good for a snow blower or the like, not so good for a splitter or any volume related app. Pump would be easy to mount under the tractor and direct drive with just a coupler. A standard gear pump will be higher volume but cheaper, I am not comfortable pulling 20+ gpm from the tractors res. So back to a 3 point res/pump combo and gearing up a drive for a gear pump. That will get me 25gpm at 2500psi and no heating issues or intermixing of fluids. I do Hydraulics for a living and this seems to be the best all around option. So I guess like everything else it depends on what you want to do. CJ

The BX25 only has 23 HP, and therefore can only support a 3000 psi, 11 GPM hyd pump , with nothing else moving.

Bruce I live somewhat close to GLAMIS CA, and we have gone there a lot,
I have seen a LOT of variations on the blender, yours is great too!
I think the funniest was one made w/ some motorcycle handlebars utilizing
the throttle ...:D

Kind of like this one? :)

It's hard to believe no one has done it. There is a 10 Spline to 6 Spline
Adaptor available. I am looking at all angles. I see there is a driveshaft assembly
that goes to the front to run a blower and a sweeper. THAT might be
a ticket as well, hang a pump off that out front, up high, so as not
to loose ground clearance. Gawd I would love to fall into those parts
for a song so I could "play" w/ them.

I actually found a Middle Mounted Hydraulic Pump on a tractor, I wrote the
people and I await a reply. I am trying to absorb this stuff from afar, it is
hard cause I have never seen so many of these parts, I am gonna stick with
it for a while...

If the Mid PTO is used, were down to 17.7HP at 3200rpm too. I want to
try to keep my tractor running around 25-2700 and not full throttle but
still that should produce some "healthier" GPM's I thunk.

That will give you about 8.5 GPM at 3000 psi, and the pump would run at 3200 rpm and have a displacement of .6 cu in.

All this using 17 HP

I used to go there a lot in the 60's and 70's. That was before blenders, and most dune buggies were cut-down and shortened American sedans with widened wheels, like these photos I found online.
