international 574
When using my log splitter on my 574 international the pressure seems to tail off and although the ram will still move there is no adequate force. I have changed filter and cleaned screen in the hyd. pump which appeared to improve things but it has returned to its old ways. Any ideas?

Re: international 574
Do you know what the pump pressure is supposed to be?
Use a hyd gage and check some pressures.
You may have internal leaks in the relief valve, valve spools, cyl, etc.
Are you using correct fluid, and are the filters clean/new, etc?J.J.
When I works, I works hard. When I sits and thinks, I goes to sleep.
Git er done.

Re: international 574
Sorry for the delay in responding I was away collecting son from hospital and stayed over.
I have replaced hyd. filter and cleaned screen. I have not checked the pressure. It runs very well for a while and thn fades, if I leave it for a while it regains presure for a while before fading again.I will check the presure relief valve next.
Thanks for your help
