50C massey ferguson backhoe

the steering wont respond at all when i turn the steering wheel. When i go foward the wheels turn left without turning the steering wheel. When i go in reverse the wheels turn to the left without turning the steering wheel. A few minor leaks and a little water in the fluid but i dont think its enough to affect it. Also i want to know if i can put a standard car or truck tire on the front ?please help Brandon

the cross porting in the steering valve could be plugged. or the centering springs could be broken or weak. usually when they take off on their own they're out of time or plugged up.
