Kubota BX24
Hello all Im fairly new to this site! Im trying to add 3rd function to my bx24 kubota.I would like to use a 12 volt valve. Is the bx24 open center system or closed center system? Do the work ports on the valve need to be closed in netural or open to return to the tank? Were do I tap in the system at? Does any one have a pic so I make sure I use the right lines? I've been looking on surplus center at valves and the d03 subplates. Just would like to make sure im buying the right things. I see that you can purchase the 3rd function from a couple of places but I really like doing things my self and would like to save $$$. All help would be much appreciated.:)

Your hyd system should be open center.

What is the purpose of your 3ed function valve?

Do you have the owners or parts manual for your tractor?

If you have a FEL, the 3ed function valve can be inserted in the PB line. The 3ed valve valve also has no relief, so a relief valve up stream will help protect the hyd system.

You will also need a DO3 subplate for the solenoid valve.

Find the thread BX25 GrappleOmatic in the build it yourself or projects forums (one or the other). Good info an details on adding a 3rd function set up to a BX.
