My L 175 Kubota won't lift the three point hitch. I drained the fluid, removed and cleaned the filter, and replaced the fluid but that didn't help. I can lift up the hitch and it stays in place and drops when I pull back the control.

Any advice before I have the haul the thing to my mechanic?

Check the fluid levels.

Check the pressures for the hyd system.

Do you have a lever in the wrong position.

Is the pump actually pumping fluid?

Do you have a loader?

Do you have power steering?

If your pump is pumping, the fluid is going somewhere, and if your 3pt valve is good, the fluid will flow through it in the neutral position, and when you raise the lever, you should send fluid to the 3pt cl.

Thanks
Fluid level is okay and nothing happens when lever is up or down.
No loader or power steering, so I guess its the pump if thats all thats left.

Remove a hose and place in a bucket and start the tractor and see if the pump is pumping.

It could be a bad 3pt valve spool.

Have you cleaned screens and changed filter?

Is there air bubbles in the hyd tank?

Thanks for the advice. I couldn't figure it out and so hauled it to my mechanic. He said it was a stuck poppet valve in the 3-point lifting mechanism and fixed it for $75.

I managed to finish planting deer food plots the following weekend without trouble.
