International hydraulic problem
Loader on a 784 international is not getting full pressure when there is a load on the rear arms. Works fine when I place a bar on the hitch to support the arms. Also works when there is no load on the arms in the raised position. The rear weight is not attached to the top link. There is external light rams fitted with the ih connection to the release valve location. The rear linkage supports a load when the engine is stopped for a considerable time eg overnight. Any ideas

Re: International hydraulic problem
Hydraulics:
Type: open
Capacity: 9 gal [34.1 L]
Valves: 1 or 2
Pump flow: 13 gpm [49.2 lpm]
15.4 gpm [58.3 lpm] (optional)
The amount of the load will determine the pressure developed.
Tractor data says your 3pt capacity is about 3600 lbs.
What is full pressure?
Is there a loader on the tractor?
Do you have a hyd gage to check pressure?J.J.
When I works, I works hard. When I sits and thinks, I goes to sleep.
Git er done.

Re: International hydraulic problem
full pressure 2500 tested with a gauge, there is a silage grab on the loader with about 300kgs on the rear as a ballast weight. no prblems with the front pressure when the 3pt linkage is supported, but when the support is removed the front speed is slowed.

Re: International hydraulic problem
As stated the front loader works fine when the link arms are supported when carrying a weight, when the support is removed to allow the arms to carry the weight the front loader responds very slow and requires additional rpm but the loader is still slower. When there is no weight on the back arms and they are raised there is no problems, only when loaded. There is assistor rams on this tractor.

Re: International hydraulic problem
How is the loader plumbed into the tractor??
Does it use the tractor valves or its own valve block??
Or is the High Pressure Carryover (HPCO) being used??

Re: International hydraulic problem
The loader has its own control block feed from the sa spool. Not sure what you mean by the Hpco. Thanks for your help.

Re: International hydraulic problem
The High pressure carry over (HPCO) is the correct method to supply oil to a loader or other valves
mounted on the tractor!!
How many spools are fitted to tractor 1or 2 ?? Question?? If loader is supplied from the SA valve, where is the return piped to ??
However i suspect an oil leak on the draft control valve to lift cylinder mounting allowing oil loss from the hitch when the hitch is in any position but fully up!!
Under the seat is an inspection plate in the cab deck, remove this, then you will see the heads of 4 large bolts, just put a spanner on these and see if they are tight!!Last edited by cyrush; 03-15-2013 at 06:37 AM. Reason: Xxxxx

Re: International hydraulic problem
Hi, The tractor is fitted with two spool valves-S/A and D/A. The return from the loader is connected to the filler plug on top at the rear housing. Will check out the four bolts ASAP

Re: International hydraulic problem
The return into the filler is not good for pump life ??? It will be aerating the oil within a few minutes of you starting the engine.
