I purchased a 425 with les than 300 hrs. and the steering is stiff not at all like my 345. I changed the oil and filter but didn't help at all. What is the next step?

does the deck lift properly? Should be the same hydraulic circuit.

Lift works fine. I also checked the greaseable axle shafts

Try lifting the front tires off the ground, easy if you have a FEL. It should turn very easily, if not something must be binding.

Do the tires turn evenly as you turn the steering wheel or does the steering wheel turn and the tires don稚?

I don稚 recall if the 425 has tilt steering wheel or not. If yes does the stiffness change when changing the tilt angle of the steering wheel?
