Re: TS1910 injection pump

My injection pump is leaking where the tach drive connects to the pump allowing oil to run into the cable housing and leak out where the housing is cracked. So far the leak is not so bad that I can't use tractor but I am afraid that it could suddenly get worse and ruin the pump. Is there a possible fix that does'nt require injection pump rebuilding or replacement?

I guess it all depends on how much pressure you're talking about. With good surface cleaning and prep I would think using JB-Weld would be worth a try. The stuff is just amazing.

I vote for the JB Weld. I repaired a crack on my old Ford tractor years ago and it's still holding.

Re: TS1910 injection pump

Replace the tach cable and/or the housing. I could be wrong, but I believe that is designed that way to lube the cable. When the white metal threaded end of my tach cable broke, I got the same leak. Replaced the tach cable two years ago, viola, no more leak.
