Default Engine parts suggestions (for all)

Hi folks, just my 2-cents-worth for anyone that is searching parts for their Bolens-Iseki (Isuzu engined) tractors... I'd like to make two points here:

#1 is to shop-around to all listed dealers for any engine parts you may need. Some of the so-called 'authorized distributors' either don't know what they're talking about, or they don't want to be bothered by helping you out, spending their time in searching for a 30-yr.-old part.

#2 is that regarding parts prices, you can shop-around and save some big money... Isuzu American Parts Distribution Network says right on their shipping-labels: "Dealers are free to sell these products at whatever price or margin of profit they choose."

Two listed authorized Isuzu dealers that are local to me (one with multiple locations throughout the US) both said they could not help in finding a waterpump for my C.1980 Bolens-Iseki G194 tractor. I got my water pump from Diesel Electric Service & Supply Co. in Salt Lake City (see their website: Dessco | Home).

DESSCO's employees and Parts Dept. were extremely helpful and courteous, and their pricing was (literally!) hundreds of dollars less than what other dealers were quoting me.

These dealers know they have us (consumers) by the short-hairs and so they charge accordingly. If you think you're getting a fair price quote, go ahead and buy; but if you think it's too expensive, or that you're getting the shaft, then you probably are and should shop-around for the best deal.
