I finally have a little time to address the weak 3 point hydraulics
when lifting stuff with my dirt scoop. Upon disassembly I found
the o-rings are shot and the piston has galling as does the
cylinder bore. I honed the cylinder and I'm going to take
the piston to work polish it in the lathe. I already
bought all the o-rings I need for this project.

Your Iseki is going to be better than new. Again, you do very nice work. I barely use my G154 Iseki, maybe 20 hours per year, so it will never wear out. But if I need help, I will research your posts right off the bat.

I finished rebuilding the hydraulic cylinder and reassembled
everything back onto the tractor. After bleeding the air
out of the cylinder I could not believe how much
better the 3 point lifts the dirt scoop with a load
in it. I'm glad I finally fixed it and it was such an
easy job I should have done it sooner.

Time for an update. Its been around a year since I more
or less finished the Bolens. I have used it over the summer
to regrade my driveway and the in laws driveway.
I have used it with the dirt scoop to haul stone and sand.
I also use it to stir my large compost pile. It has been
running very well and it is fun have a diesel tractor.
I have had to replace the head gasket and the water pump.
I noticed yesterday that the front main seal is leaking
so I'll be replacing that before winter. Otherwise the tractor
isn't doing to bad. Here are a few pictures of Bolseki
hanging out with my other tractors. I finally had a chance
to get them all together for a group picture.

What is the one next to it? Nice family.

They get to be addicting don't they? I'd love to get down to one (for space and maintenance reasons), but I can't seem to decide which one it would be. One has a bucket that makes it very difficult to get rid of. One is for spare parts which is only worth about one of its spare parts as a whole. I've dragged the others along with me long enough that I might as well keep them. Sometimes it's tempting to think about trading them all in, throwing in a bunch of money in addition, and getting ONE of something new. But then I'd be broke (or more broke) and have only one tractor :(

I was using the bolens/iseki most of the day today. It is running good.
I was using the tractor to pull a tarp that I was pushing leaves on.
I was mulching the leaves with my cub cadet and then I was
pushing them onto the tarp with my craftsman GT. I have fun
using the diesel tractor. Here are a few pictures.
