I was able to hone the cylinders over the weekend and I washed
the inside of the cylinders with soap and warm water. After
that I sprayed them down with sea foam which does a nice
job of cleaning and it leaves an oil coating that keeps
the rust away. I also removed the rings from the pistons
and then I cleaned the ring grooves and the carbon from
the pistons. I reinstalled the rings and checked the side
clearance of the rings in the grooves and they are
in tolerance. While I'm waiting for parts I decided to
removed the alternator which was half fast painted black
and I could see rust inside on the diode assembly.
I disassembled the alternator and found that from setting
for the last 12 years the wires to the diodes corroded
and flaked the insulation off. I sand blasted the
the black paint off the aluminum housing parts.
I bought new bearings and ordered a can of
red insulating varnish to recoat the windings.
I also sand blasted some of the tractor body parts for repainting.

I was working on the grill last week, It was missing two of the mounting
tabs so I made new ones and welded them on at work. I then sand blasted
the grill and painted it semi gloss black. While I was working
on the grill I noticed two holes in the lower right corner. I found a few pictures on the net of iseki tractors and there is some kind of emblem bolted through those holes. I can't tell what it says so I am going to make my own. Here are a few pictures of my proto type emblem. I need to machine all four sides to make emblem a little more fancy. Also the red insulating varnish came in today so I think I may spray the alternator windings tomorrow. I'm doing these side jobs while I wait for the parts I ordered to come in the mail. My emblem says Bolseki for now. I ran emblem through one of our machining centers at lunch today and I think the emblem is to big. Need to run another one tomorrow but I'll make it smaller.

Good stuff. Thanks for the updates. One thing about doing all the work you are is you'll appreciate the outcome that much more. Please continue to keep us in the loop.

I am going to reuse the rings and I am going to clean them up with crocus cloth.
The rings look very good and I don't want to put to much money into tractor
until I get it running and also see if there are other problems. If I
do have to put rings in it later on down the road it will only
cost me the price of the rings and a head gasket.

I cut the old fuel filter open and it was clogged with
rust and dirt. I do need to clean and flush out the fuel tank
before I can use it. I found an oem filter on E-Bay but the guy wants $90.
Really? $90 for a fuel filter ( HA HA HA!!! )

I checked the side gap clearance on the rings and
all four rings are within factory tolerances.
I also sprayed the red insulating varnish on the
alternator windings and it looks like it might work out well.

I picked up a gallon of Rotella oil and I started to flush the oil passages.
I removed pipe plugs the check valve from oil pump and
the oil pressure sending unit. I then using a squeeze pump
pumped oil into the oil passages until it started to flow
out at the various bearings and lube points I also had
oil flow through the crankshaft.

Great photos. Thanks for posting all of this.

Could you measure the inner and outer diameter of the mating surface for the oil filter gasket? Also can you tell of the threads for the oil filter are metric or english?

For my TS1610, I see oil filter part numbers posted on this forum with much different gasket diameters than the one I am using. Also filters with 20mmx1.5mm threads verses the 3/4-16 threads on the filter I am using. Perhaps the gasket mating surface is large enough to accommodate the different filter part numbers with different gaskets.
