I assumed you had a K3B but saw just now that some came with a KE75. Curious which engine you have? ...

I believe all TX21x0 machines came with K3 (3-cyl) engines. The TX1300 and TX1500 used the KE (2-cyl) engines. There are also models like a "TX1510" that I believe had K3 engines. Incidentally, the bell housing bolt patterns are the same for all these engines to the best of my knowledge, so they wouldn't be hard to swap other than probably the differences in frame lengths and frame mounting holes.

I think that it depends on the year manufactured.

The original TX models 1300(F)/G152/G154-1500(F) G172/G174 were made from 1978-1981 with the KE engines.

From 1981-1991 the TX2140T, TX1502 (G152), TX2140F, TX1504 (G154), TX2160F, TX1704 (G174), TX2140T HST, TX1502H (H1502), TX2160F HST, and the TX1704H (H1704) were all made with the K3A for the 15HP model K3B for the 17HP.

I have a KE70 in my 1981 G154 and I like the knock that the engine has, and it is pretty indestructible. I haven't owned a K3, but they sound like great engines too! The tractor length increased a few inches when they upgraded from the KE engines, and the exhaust switched sides.

Thats good to know about the engine bolt patterns!

I like the new avatar btw!

Thanks. Was considering something like this too. Probably switch when I get over to the G174:

Small update, I really haven't had a chance to look at this living away from home, but recently I did an oil change before attempting to start it after having the injectors overhauled.
No go.
2 Days later I went to check the oil level for some reason or another and the sump was full of diesel ( I drained 10L out).
So it's leaking past I assume the seal that separates the oil pump drive and injector pump drive.

I pulled the oil pump off but cannot even see the seal let alone access it from there.

I think I just need to take it to a tractor mechanic and get them to fix it.
