i tried today, and it allows you to configure a 4720 cab tractor with some options , a 400cx loader and a 448 backhoe , comes to like 50k with a few things extra and those 2 attachments , whoa. Looks like you can just take that printout to a dealer and see if they can order it or not with the backhoe.

Got a copy of Deere's Winter 2007 Homestead Magazine today. Shows a picture of the cab compatable backhoe. Lists a 485 backhoe for the 4000 twenty series tractor and a 375 backhoe for the 3000 Twenty series tractor. Lists the 485 as a 8' 9" digging depth and the 385 as a 7' 8" dipping depth. Looked on the JD website but didn't see these series backhoes listed.

I posted this on the JD owner operator part of this forum already, but it bears repeating here as well.
According to my dealer and JD corporate, JD is coming out with a cab compatible backhoe for the 4x20 series tractor. I did not ask about the 3 series, but it seems reasonable as well. It is supposed to be available in March. No pricing info or other details yet available from JD corporate. I also noticed that Massey Fergussen is showing a cab tractor with backhow on the add they have in this forum. I would fully expect Kubota to follow suit. This may really impact sales of the 110 TLB for non-commercial use, as any advantage the 110 tlb has over the 4720 is negated, to me, by the many advantages you get from having a cab, lighter weight, and a lot more PTO horsepower for other attachments. I was not even considering an FEL for the cabbed 4720 until I got this news. I can really use a BH, but you need the FEL to run it. Last edited by beefeater; 01-19-2008 at 01:06 PM. |
