I just got a price on 5105 2 wheel drive, with remote hydraulics, box scraper, JD bush hog, and 521 loader for 20,808.00. Is this a good price for this unit?
Also, are their any known problems with this tractor? Finally, how much more could I expect to pay for adding 4 wheel drive? thx in advance, Novex |

Go to www.jdlawns.com. They have all JD models listed and prices. This will give you an idea of what the prices are and some info on the products. You can usually beat the price on there web site at your local dealer, but it will help you with some starting knowledge. Good luck Deere hunting!

When I was looking at the five series, I found you can get more value for your money, but look very close at EVERY tractor manufacturer's brochure and you will almost NEVER see a 2WD tractor with a loader. There is a very good reason why this is true. The five series is intended to compete with the Massey's and other low tech tractors. Unfortunately the 521 loader only fits 2WD tractors (or narrow orchard tractors)and will not clear the front wheels for front wheel drive standard tractors.
