I am in Michigan and just bought a new 2320. I figured I would try to find out if anyone in areas with the new ultra low sulfur fuel are using a fuel additive and if so, which ones. I have been looking at Power Service and one from Standidyne (spelling). Any opinions would be appreciated as I was worried about the lubricating qualities of the new fuel. thanks
oh i tried to ad a pic to of the new toy. |

Welcome Deerhunter
I buy Power Service, don't know if it helps but it sure doesn't hurt and my 2320 runs like a top. This was my first diesel so i was not sure but a few people I respect swear by it so in it goes. Hope you are as happy with yours' as I've been with mine.

I am not sure if the fuel systems are rated for ulsd or not, but I'll bet they're all expensive to work on no matter the color of paint. Here is what I do in my truck AND my other diesel toys. I mix approx 1oz of marine grade 2cycle oil (Tc3w or tcw3 or ???? ) per gal of diesel OR run min 3% biodiesel. You can really tell the difference on both the Oliver and the truck, they both get MUCH quieter with either the bio or 2 cycle oil (truck is a '02 Dodge). Havent been able to detect the difference with the little massey, but a much smoother quieter engine anyway, so I just add the two cycle for insurance.
