Default 46 Hoe on the 2320

Any comments as to how well the 46 BH works on the 2320 tractor?
I'm going to find out in a week or so, but nothing like being prepared.

It works well in my opinion. However the maximum depth spec is misleading because of the architecture. For instance if you can dig six feet straight down, then at a distance of four feet you can dig only three feet down.
It's a rather difficult instrument to master. Figure on at least fifty hours of practice before you're pretty good at it.
Another thing that I learned the hard way, is to find a level firm area to store it. I parked on soft ground and the feet started to dig in so that I couldn't lift the mechanism enough to install it. And make sure that there is manuvering room in front.

Ragkar,
Your tractor setup is just like what I ordered, how do you like the 61 FEL?
I traded my 650 in on the 2320. My 650 had the #7 hoe and the #60 loader with the 60 bucket and was a great tractor, no issues for 20 years. I hope the 2320 tractor proves out the same. I did a lot of work with the 650. BTW I'm in Sullivan County NY, just above you.

I ordered a 2320 with the 46 BH, it should be delivered later this week and has a few chores lined up for this weekend.

A trick to making reattachment of the 46bh is to block the frame of the backhoe off the ground. I block mine up 8-10 inches between the outriggers, and 4 under the front of the bh frame. Keeps it off the ground, and I've never had a problem putting it back on.

I was able to get some seat time over the weekend and the 46 BH works very well on the 2320. Movement could be faster but it had plenty of power to dig out a few stumps. For my uses it seems to a good fit. It has a "new" subframe that does not use the rockshaft to lift the BH for attachement / removal. I did not try to remove it but from how it was explained, you drop the outriggers, pull the front pins, and pull the assembly back about 2 inches, then lower it, disconnet the hydralics, and drive away. Sorry, forgot the camera, but will get pics on my next trip to the camp.

Think I'm going to miss my #7 hoe on the 650 but the 200CX FEL is by far more than the 60 loader on the 650. Have not used the hoe yet but spent 3 hours moving dirt. Still trying to get use to the HST after 20 years on the 650 gear drive tractor it's hard.

kernal, What BH bucket did you get?

I beleive it is the 16" bucket, I went with the dealer recommendation on the bucket size. I may order a 9" for drain tile etc.

The only issue I had was hitting my elbow on the rear work light, it's gonna get moved to the other side of the ROPS.

There is a rear facing light mounted on the inside of the rops, same place my left elbow wants to be when using the BH.
