I have a 2840 and it turns over very slow. Put on new batteries, cables and had the starter rebuilt. Makes no difference if tractor is cold or has been running for hours. Has anyone else encountered any problems like this on their tractor. Thanks for your help.

Have you checked the timing?
What color is the exhaust? Does it run strong when it is running?

My "guess" an injector is leaking fuel into one of the cylinders when its not running.
Hopefully someone smart that has experienced a similar problem will chime in.. ![]()
