I posted a new thread last week concerning the Fuel shut-off solenoid problem with my 2305. This weekend i replaced the solenoid and tried starting the tractor, it would spin over but would not start. I then removed the new solenoid and noticed the plunger was still out ( in the shut-off position). You can push in the plunger and it will stay but the solenoid will not pull it in by itself. The wires on the new solenoid are labeled pull and hold, there is no power on the pull wire at all. I've checked all fuses and they are fine. The battery is weak , but i even tried jumping in off and same results. Thanks and i'll be glad to try anything at this point.

The only way i had to test it was with a test light and i had no power anywhere through the Starting cycle. I've been searching other post and have seen a Module mentioned. Is this a possibility?

When the solenoid went out , it actually "melted". It could have shorted something else at the samt time. I could run a Hot to the pull side of the solenoid on a toggle switch, but i hate to have to do that a tractor this new.

Only have 2 ways to go here. Pay somebody to fix it or get a tech manual and start learning 2305 wiring yourself. On mine, there's also a small cube relay tagged "K2" that plays some magical part in this fuel thing. Pretty easy to test those. |

The only JD stuff I bought on line was the tech and parts manuals, both from deere.com
You bet, low battery voltage will do all kinds of weird things. Get a good battery in there. What do mean by "Thermistors" ? |
