Default potassium chloride vs. calicum chloride

This may seem like a dumb question, but here it goes...I'm wanting to fill my rear tires with fluid. After reading what calicum chloride does to rims over time, I was wondering if it was possible to use potassium chloride instead. After reading stuff on the net, it looks like they have alot of similar qualities except potassium doesn't seem to be as hash on the environment.I know they have different freezepoints. Or should I just go with winshield fluid or antifreeze... opinions???

I think the dealer i got my unit from used potassium chloride but I am not sure, it was not calcium chloride, but it was something chloride?

However, I used, recycled anti-frreze in my former 4100 and it worked out well. However after I traded it in, I was informed that it really might not be a good idea to use anti-freeze, depending on where you live and how sensitive the laws are about the environment and spills!

Go with Rimguard it is about the same weight 10.7 to 11 pounds per gallon, only cost 29 cents per gallon,Total cost per gallon to have installed it $3.50. wont rust rims and is non toxic since it is made from sugar beets so your dog can lick it up if you get a leak, and it wont hurt any kids if they get it on their feet, does not require tubes and you can put a plug in the tire if it gets a hole.
