MOST of the time my 4500 fires right up with a touch of the key but sometimes, it will not fire off, I think it may have a air leak in the fuel system, any ideas on where to start looking? Or could the fuel pump be going out?

Tried all that Roger, it acts like it loses its prime or something, I think I may have a air leak but I haven't got a clue where it could be, other than what you listed, I bought a new O ring for the fuel filter and make sure its tight, oh its a 2000, nine times out of ten she fires right up, but every now and then it turns over great but will not hit a lickRoger2561 said:How old is your 4500? I would check the cheap stuff first. Be sure the fuel filter is on tight, perhaps it is drawing in a bit of air? How about the air filters, (primary and secondary) if they are not clean, change them out, could be starving for air. Also make the fuel lines at the pump as well as at injectors are not drawing in air. I have a 4500 that I purchased new in 2000 and I have never experienced any problems with it. Make sure you follow the maintenance schedule thus minimizing any potential problems.
