Recently I have read of disappointed owners indicating their yanmar diesels took too much fuel for daily tasks. With this in mind I filled my 4110 with fuel and used it for mowing grass only at PTO speed using high range for a majority of the time. It takes three plus hours for one trip around the yard.
After a refill I found it has taken .772 gallons per hour for this task. The machine has just over 100 hours of operation and is not fully broken in. I felt this was quite good considering I let the grass get overgrown before mowing and it is quite thick. The five foot mid mounted mower combined with the hydro gives the engine a total work load capacity. |

i have the 4115, and i couldnt be happier with the fuel consumption! i can run my backhoe pulling rocks and digging nasty hard clay for close to 12 hours before it needs a fill up! ground engagin equipment seems to use more but not that much more. like 8 hours to a 5 gallon fillup instead of 12. i have a 7 gallon tank.
