Default Deluxe Hood Guard

I stayed on the phone today for about 45 mins. to try and explain that I wanted to buy a deluxe hood guard for my 3520. After a long session with the parts guy he finally got a salesman on the phone and after talking really slowly and explaining what I wanted he finally understood what I wanted. I have the regular hood guard in place and I wanted to add the deluxe guard to it. The parts guy acted like I was crazy. After putting the salesman on the phone he finally understood. He said he had sold several cuts and he had never seen the guard. I was about to give up and drive to a dealer or just forget about it when I thought about last Saturday and the log that stuck through the regular guard and nearly took out the grill and the headlights. I remember when I bought the tractor and they said deluxe grill guard I thought nah just an expensive pretty pretty until I thought about a new grill and headlights. Just goes to show me wisdom does not necessarily come with age. But just give me a week and a couple hundred bucks and I will be rounding up the brush piles again. My point being after this long ramble is that I thought dealers employees should know more about the products they sell.

Is there a version of this hood guard for the 4x00 series CUTs? (I'd like one for my 4600 if there was)...

PLUMBER,

Unfortunately Deere does not offer a Deluxe Hood Guard for the 200 Series Loaders...

Maybe you could order the BW15222 Deluxe Hood Guard "Attachment" ($215.00) and modify it to fit your 200 Series Standard Hood Guard? I have included pics of both the Standard and Deluxe Hood Guards below - as you can see, the Deluxe model adds "wings" on either side as well as the extruded metal all around.

I must add that the extruded metal Deere uses is not quite as heavy as I would like it to be - I have had one customer that pushed a rather large branch through the extruded metal and into the grille. Luckily it stopped at damaging the grille, and did not damage the hood or radiator... If he had only the Standard Hood Guard there would have been much more damage.

Hope I was of some help!
