2210 weatherbreaker cab installed

I found this Femco weatherbreak on Ebay for $290.oo. Since a full cab is way over a thousand bucks I would go for it. Because it's cold out in that wind waiting for the hydraulic bucket to dump!!! Installation took two hours. the instruction manual was REALLY bad, might as well toss it and build the thing your own way. It does require drilling some holes in the machine. Yes, OUCH. Hated to do that. It also requires sticking velcro all over the place. I opted a few mods myself, placing velcro in hidden locations that would hold the fabric. I also used different fasteners on some locations of the fabric, mainly just a few cable ties in place of the included metal clamps. There were also a couple bolts missing from the hardware bag. I haven' t used it yet but sitting in it the throttle and hydraulic lever seem crowded, but useable. Overall I can't wait to cheat the wind, maybe playtime will be a bit less chilly.

Looks like you did a nice job installing it. Does it have a roof? Or is it just sides? Something like that would have been nice while I was snowblowing the 7 feet of snow we got last week! Although w/o a roof, I'd be concerned that the cab would fill up with snow?

I see you have a bucket and a blade, do you use both at the same time pushing snow? Nice job on the windbreak.

no roof but I think there may be an option for one, and yes it might not work too good with a rear snowblower. It has plastic windows on three sides. I had to bend the right hand door to make more room for the hydraulic lever. I had it out pushing snowdrifts into piles yesterday, the temp was 15 degrees with a 10mph wind. AND I WAS NICE AND COZY!!!!!!!! OH, and FEMCO makes these weatherbreaks for most compact tractors.

Oh, and yes BDTD, I do use both bucket and blade. for up to 4 inches I drive forward down the driveway and do a quick angle pushoff with the rear blade. for deeper snow I push forward and pile with the loader then backup and push backwards with the rear blade, a real timesaver! there are limits to this setup as I learned last March when we had a 20 dump of snow, that's when I wished for a blower as I didn't have the power or traction to push through all that... it took 5 hours to push it all out into the field. I'm still experimenting with different methods and often wish I'd had a front blade but those are too much $$ since i already have the bucket for dirt work.
