Default 3 point hitch noise on 3520

I've noticed my three point hitch is making a loud noise when I raise it sometimes but only when it's under stress. It makes a loud whinning noise (sometimes) when I have a few hundred pounds on it and raise it. It makes me wonder if there is a problem with the flow of the hydraulic fluid. The reason I mention this is because I noticed it first when my power beyond was hooked up to my log splitter improperly. The fluid was not able to return to the tractor. I immediately shut it down when I heard the noise and found the problem. The connection was not good with the hoses quick connect. Everything works very well, but it makes a noise especially when it's near the top height of the 3pth. The noise is not very noticeable when I have the rpms higher. I've checked the fluid level and it's fine. I checked it when cold and hot. The manual indicates it should be checked when cold. That's what I'm going with and it's fine. Is there something wrong?

I just bought a used 2006 3720 a couple of weeks ago I have noticed to same type of sounds as you. I too have checked the fluid levels everything looks good, but it sounds bad when lifting a small load.

Yes, I had the power beyond kit attached by the dealer before I picked up the tractor.

I have the same noise you describe on my 4600. I've been told this is normal sound caused by hydraulic flow through the power beyond loop.

If you exceed the relief pressure setting on main pump discharge then the relief valve will discharge hyd oil back to reservoir and causes the screeching noise or chatter. One other possibility can be the mis-adjustment of the feed back arm to 3 pt lift handle spool valve that could cause dead heading the pump prematurely and relief valve activation to protect the pump. It most likely is some fluid blockage past (on discharge side) of hyd pump.

I have a 3320 with power beyond and experience the same thing. The dealer says this is normal with this option. He said there is an extra filter and something else that makes the noise.
