I have a 2305 with a 200cx. I have been doing lots of loader work as I have been moving material for a new youth baseball diamond. At times its really a struggle to get the bucket to dump. The rate of rotation seems to vary from cycle to cycle and at times it seems I am searching for the sweet spot to get that sucker in motion. Can I adjust to get a higher rate of flow to those cylinders with the same input to the joystick?

There are a few posts that cover the same type of situation you describe - but involves the 2210 as well as the 2305. Overall if a recall correctly its the inherent limitation of the machine - I dont recall anyone having a fix or solution to this - but I would rather be wrong on that

Welcome to TBN:D

IF this problem happens when the bucket is empty or lightly loaded, AND happens when the joystick is pushed to the FAR right, then I think you may be suffering from the effects of the "regenerative" (also called just "regen") feature of the valve. This pressurises both side of the cylinder to reduce cavitation. There should be a lockout on your valve that will stop the joystick from going so far to the right, or you can simply try not to move it so far. Try also running the machine at full throttle if you are not already.

Here is a POST that explains the regen feature very well.

Hope this helps some...

Hi Rottecj, check out this post. I'd go talk to your dealer about this.

I've been meaning to get my loader fixed in the fall, but winter came.. and I was too busy.. Can't really do without the tractor for a few days:D. Now spring is here and it's even worse!!! To be honest, it hasn't posed too much of a problem for me, so it hasn't been a priority really. It's definitely on my list of things to do before the warranty expires on the 200CX loader.

The regen explanation is helpful in understanding the design. I will have to try to apply what I learned by feeling for these different positions in the joystick.

Gord, Thanks for trying to help out. But, that link won't take me anywhere.

Hi rottecj, in my case, i'm noticing a hesitancy in the loader when I'm curling out of a recent dump (sounds bad, I know:D). Another charecteristic I've experienced is that the loader doesn't hold its position when backblading with the loader.

These are both explained in the attached trouble report from JD.

May or may not apply in your case, but maybe others can benefit. Davkir posted these back in September.

This pretty much nails it. I guess I need to get in to my dealer and I will take these bulletins with me. Thanks a lot!!

Hi rottecj,

Did you happen to get this FEL latency looked at by your dealer? Any updates?

If so, did warranty cover it?

I'm kind of curious.

Nothing doing. The parts manager ordered in a kit that included an adjustable needle valve that would restrict flow and in theory prevent the issue from occuring. When it arrived he said it wasn't what he expected. As far as I know he initiated a warranty claim for the problem. I have heard nothing back. I will have to follow up on the matter today.

I asked my dealer if warranty would cover it and he said his zone rep said it would not be a warranty issue. By the the needle valve alone was around $250 so I told him no thanks.
