JD 4300 Hydraulic Fluid level

I cannot see the "float" in the fluid level window by the pto shaft. If I have put in too much fluid would I still be able to see the float?

Please be gentle on me ... :)

Not sure there is a "float".
In my window I just look to see there is a fluid line.

Here is a picture of what the "float" should look like from the manual. I have seen this but need to remember to check every time I use tractor. I guess my question now becomes will it harm the tractor if I put in too much fluid? All the manual says is that is will cause it to overflow.

I don't know what the plastic piece is but really don't think it is a float the Mighty Dodge is right there should be a horizontal fluid line in the middle of the window white disc may be to facilitate seeing the fluid YOU NEED TO ADD THE RIGHT AMOUNT TRANSMISSION FLUID NOW

Thanks guys I will look for that, I thought maybe there was a plug or dipstick

It is difficult to see the hyd level in the window without adding JD hyd dye.

Look closely... It may be over filled and the sight glass is completely covered.
