Re: steering very noisy
Welcome to TBN!
I'll second to the issue jerold has so to avoid double oppening the thread on the same failure. My steering (well it's not JD but M9000) is also noisy. Not much, but a little bit. Noise comes from the controller right under the steering wheel at both steering wheel travel end positions.
The troubleshooting says about the noise:
- Air sucked in pump due to lack of oil
- Air sucked in pump from suction circuit
- Pipe deformed
Had some clear visible oil leakage on the RH side of steering cylinder. Replaced the seal. No leakage anymore. But the noise still didn't disappear. Not so long ago have noticed the LH side of cylinder is wet of oil. Hope after replacement of that LH seal an issue of noise will be solved. Or not.
Any suggestions would be very very welcomed. Thanks in advance.Last edited by saracenas; 02-27-2013 at 07:35 AM.
