I have a "new to me" 6615.
When steering there is a bit of a groan/moan from the steering motor under the dash. You can feel a very slight/fine vibration in the steering wheel while hearing the groan. Can't hear anything outside the tractor.
The tractor steers great, and all hydraulics work as they should. Filters and oil have been changed.
Of note, the groan goes away if one of the hydraulic levers are moved as you would lift or lower an implement.
As I said the tractor is new to me, just wondering if it is a noise common to these tractors, or something I need to dig in to, and if so where to dig first.

thanks in advance

Steering noise is probably caused by a vibrating unloading valve in the priority valve. It doesn't cause any operational problem, but there is an updated valve available to alleviate this noise. Ask for AL170216 kit at your dealer if the noise bothers you. It applies to tractors above serial number 013840.
