Hi Guys,

I have a 1960's JD 3020 Diesel.

I just bought a hydraulic post pounder set up for a closed hydraulic system on a John Deere. I have a lever on my dash that controls the hydraulics at the rear remotes. I do not recall it having a detent to stay in the "on" position. I'm guessing I'm going to have to use a bungie cord to hold it "on".

Anyone else ran into this and have a tip or suggestion?

You have it figured out already. Be sure the pounder valve is really set up for CC.

It is. The manufacturer confirmed it.

Deere actually made a bracket(a15664) that bolted to the dash in the scv slot. You could hook the lever on it where constant flow or pressure was needed. Unfortunately it isn't available anymore. It would be easy to fabricate though if you don't want you o use a bungee.

Here's a parts photo of A15664.
