I have a 70 2520 that I want to put a 620 loader on and was wondering if anyone has done this. also, what mods and/or frames should I expect to need. I have loaded tires along with twin weights so ballast should be good.----thanks

The 620 was never designed to fit the 2520, so no frames were made to be direct bolt on. The 720 and 725 loader that had a similar design had frames that would be a direct bolt onto the tractor, but not sure if the pins and saddle that loader connects to mounting frame would be compatible. My guess would be it is not. If you start with the utility tractor mounting frames, they could probably be modified to fit the 2520. The frames should be extended to attach to the mounting holes on ther front of the tractor where the weight bracket would bolt on and they should also be extended lower to be able to attach a cross brace under the oil pan. The first picture shows the 720 mounting frame that would bolt to row crop tractor like you have. Second picture is 620 mounting frame that would fit utility style tractor. You can see the difference in design.

one problem one might encounter when attempting to mount 620 loader on a rowcrop tractor is the fact that side frame on rowcrop tractor will be higher from the ground than utility tractor so boom cylinders might keep bucket from contacting ground when in fully lowered position.

I have purchased the loader from a local guy...new 82 inch quick - tach bucket, remote joystick controls with tight pins/bushings and two sets of frames for four grand. one set looks like the first pic and the other looks like the second pic....was thinking I could mock it up and combine the two in a way that it looks like a "clean" fit on the tractor. The knowledge and insight on here I was hoping to find some one who has a 2520/3020 who has done it and could show pics along with "this is how I did it" type of thing....
