Have an early model JD 1050(Yanmar) worth an hydraulic issue. Tractor was recently acquired work the problem; loader slow to respond and raise, 3pt very slow to respond and raises in 2" jumps(at the rear blade), unless the lever is fully raised then it is smooth. Has 1126hrs, new hyd filter, proper fluid level. Steering is responsive and okay. Hyd shut -off valve is fully open.
Almost impossible to grade with.
Any help is appreciated. Thank you

Have you drained the oil and cleaned the sump screen? That would be the first step if you haven't done it yet. Also be sure to check for any suction leaks at the hose on the pump inlet line. There is a hose on the inlet line under the step area. Hose clamps may be loose or hose could be dry rotted. The next possibility is pump could be worn out.
